The University of Missouri’s Southwest Research, Extension and Education Center (REEC) is poised to offer more public education and research opportunities with the addition of a state-of-the-art livestock handling facility. A groundbreaking ceremony was held Tuesday in celebration of the joint effort between the College of Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources (CAFNR) and MU Extension.

The 2022 Crescendo event raised more than $650,000 to support Conservatory student scholarships. Approximately 1,000 people attended the gala and performance Friday evening.

UMSL campus photoUniversity of Missouri-Saint Louis

UMSL announced that it has tapped retired Vice Admiral Robert Sharp, the former director of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, to serve as a research fellow with the UMSL Geospatial Collaborative. In this new role, Sharp will help guide efforts to lead collaborative K-16 workforce and talent development while strengthening and expanding the university’s partnerships.
