President Choi, joined by MU College of Education Dean Chval, College of Engineering Dean Loboa, Executive Director for Access and Leadership Development NaTashua Davis, Broader Impacts Network Director Susan Renoe, retired NASA Astronaut and Professor of Physics Linda Godwin, attended Bayer’s Making Science Make Sense Event at the Governor’s Mansion at the invitation of First Lady Sheena Greitens. As part of the event, young students and aspiring scientists heard from Dr. Mae Jemison, the first African American woman to travel to space, and Dr. Godwin about the opportunities to pursue science and technology education.
