The Associated Students of the University of Missouri is constantly looking for new talent. The more people we have involved, the more likely we’ll be successful in our efforts to improve the college experience for Missouri’s students. There are multiple ways to get involved:
ASUM Legislative Program (Oct. 2021 – May 2022)
ASUM is looking for 8 students from across the University of Missouri System to participate in the ASUM Legislative Program and work with us in Jefferson City.
The ASUM Legislative Program is a unique, professional lobbying program run by students who work to build a policy platform during the fall and lobby Missouri lawmakers at the Missouri State Capitol in the spring. Interns have the unparalleled opportunity to engage with the political process and experience tremendous professional growth in communication, research and knowledge of the political system. Past interns have gone on to work for non-profits, consulting firms and lobbying groups across the country.
Upon completion of the program, interns will receive a $2,000 stipend and travel reimbursements. Interns may receive 3-6 hours of academic credit. However, academic credit is not guaranteed as a matter of participation in this internship program.

Chapter Involvement
If you’re interested in getting involved on the local level, your campus chapter is brimming with opportunities to do so. From helping register students to vote, getting them to the polls, to bringing lawmakers to your campus and hosting legislator call days, the chapters offer a wide variety of opportunities to lead and engage.
