The Series on Leadership Essentials (SOLE) is dedicated to helping you lead in your role, and is facilitated by the University of Missouri System Human Resources Learning & Organizational Development team. SOLE represents a significant investment in leadership development for staff on behalf of the entire University of Missouri System. Employees who participate in SOLE include employees from throughout the University of Missouri System, from St. Louis, Kansas City, Rolla, Columbia, and the rest of the State of Missouri. During SOLE, you will have the opportunity to explore the following topics:
- Communication strategies for 1:1s and team meetings
- Organizing and motivating your team for engagement and productivity
- Giving and receiving feedback to improve performance
- Navigating change as a leader in the workplace
SOLE is conducted over four, 90-minute sessions. These sessions generally occur every other week.
This professional development opportunity is provided by the University of Missouri System Office of Human Resources, with no cost to participants.
