Call for COVID-19 related efforts

Dear Faculty Colleagues,

I want to thank you for your outstanding work during this unprecedented period. Our students appreciate your dedicated contributions to remote and eLearning. Your research and creative works continue to inspire us and improve our world.

As you know, the federal government announced support for higher education institutions through the CARES Stimulus Act. This legislation offers an opportunity for our university system to seek additional funding by demonstrating our contributions in COVID-19 research, educational, engagement and outreach activities. We need to quickly pull together a comprehensive document detailing our collective efforts.

Please share these activities in the format below:

1. Name of faculty, department and university
2. Project title
3. Brief description (5 sentences)
4. Funding agency (if any)
5. Federal funds set now for the project

Please send your input to Cindy Hall at chall@umsystem.edu by 5 p.m., Monday, April 6. State legislators will start discussing the CARES funding on Tuesday.
