Law Fellow

The University of Missouri Office of the General Counsel seeks to hire one recent law school graduate from MU and/or UMKC for a one-year fellowship.

The Law Fellow will be assigned a diverse range of research and projects handled by the Office of the General Counsel, including issues related to labor and employment, litigation, contracts, research, intellectual property, tax and non-profit law, higher education law, privacy, compliance, healthcare, business transactions, construction, real estate, international programs, general business transactions and other areas as assigned by the General Counsel or his designee. Academic achievement and superior writing and communication skills are essential requirements for the fellowship positions. The successful candidates must demonstrate the highest level of integrity and professionalism. The Law Fellows will work in University Hall in Columbia, Missouri Supervising attorneys will work closely with the successful candidates to develop fundamental skills necessary for a law practice and provide opportunities to participate in a full range of legal activities.

A Juris Doctorate degree from MU or UMKC School of Law within the last year, including Spring 2024, is required. While the fellowships are designed for a 12-month period, they are terminable at-will by the University.
