220.060 Student Representative to the Board

- The Student Representative to the Board of Curators is appointed by the Governor with the advice and consent of the Missouri Senate pursuant to Section 172.035 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri.
- The Student Representative to the Board of Curators shall not be deemed an employee of the University for any purposes whatsoever, and shall not act as an agent for the University nor enter into any agreement or incur any obligations on the University’s behalf or commit the University in any manner except as provided in Section 172.035, RSMo.
- During the student representative’s tenure on the board, he or she shall be the eligible recipient of the Governor Mel Carnahan Memorial Scholarship. The student representative’s campus shall grant a tuition and fee waiver or contribute annually to the distribution account of the Governor Mel Carnahan Memorial Scholarship in an amount equal to the cost of the student representative’s tuition and required fees for the semesters enrolled. The student representative award or waiver shall be subject to financial aid guidelines.
