It was enacted by the 83rd General Assembly that the Governor shall, with confirmation by the Senate, appoint a Student Representative to the Board of Curators of the University of Missouri, to attend all meetings and participate in all deliberations of the board.

The student Representative serves a two-year term.  Appointments are made in rotation from each of the four campuses of the University of Missouri, beginning with a student from the Columbia campus, rotating next to Rolla, then Kansas City, and finally to St. Louis.
