MEDIA ADVISORY: UM System student researchers to present at Missouri State Capitol

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Undergraduate students from across the University of Missouri System will travel to the Missouri Capitol to showcase their research at Undergraduate Research Day at the Capitol on Thursday, March 12.

This yearly event provides students with the opportunity to share their research with state leaders and lawmakers. Their work spans a wide range of study, including animal science, astronomy and astrophysics, biochemistry, biology and biotechnology, business administration, computer science, criminal justice, engineering, health science, history, information technology, nursing, physics, psychology, and more.

In total, 42 students will present their research projects to Missouri lawmakers: 11 from the University of Missouri-Columbia, 12 from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, 9 from the Missouri University of Science and Technology and 10 from the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
