Analytical Bio-Chemistry Laboratories, Inc., will break ground on its new headquarters at 9:30 A.M., Wednesday, March 21, at Lot 1 of the University of Missouri's Discovery Ridge Research Park located along Highway 63 just south of Columbia. ABC Labs is the first tenant of Discovery Ridge.

University of Missouri President Elson S. Floyd and Curator Emeritus Tom Atkins will be among those speaking at the event.

"Discovery Ridge represents a cutting-edge business model using public/private partnerships to generate new technologies and industries in our post-manufacturing economy," Floyd said. "ABC Labs is a vibrant, progressive company and is the ideal first tenant for Discovery Ridge."

The University and ABC Labs signed a lease for Discovery Ridge in 2006. Discovery Ridge is located on South Farm, an agriculture experiment station that is part of the MU College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources. It is located approximately three miles southeast from the main Columbia campus and adjacent to U.S. 63 in the southeast portion of the city of Columbia.
