Next UM Presidential Search Forum is Monday in St. Louis

The second of a series of public forums to invite dialogue in the University of Missouri's search for its next president will be conducted on Monday, March 12, in St. Louis. The forum will be held from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Room 126 of the J.C. Penney Building on the campus of the University of Missouri-St. Louis.

Members of the University of Missouri Board of Curators are attending forums in their home regions to visit with citizens about the search process and solicit public comments. St. Louis area curators scheduled to attend Monday's forum include Cheryl Walker, who serves as Board vice chair, and Marion Cairns and David Wasinger. They are to be joined by Jerry Baker, the veteran international executive recruiter retained to lead the presidential search.

The first forum was conducted on Tuesday, March 6, at the University's Delta Research Center in Portageville. After Monday's UMSL forum, here is the schedule for the remaining forums:

  • Friday, March 16, 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. & 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.

University of Missouri-Rolla campus

  • Tuesday, March 20, 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Springfield - Discovery Center Auditorium, 438 E. Saint Louis Street

The Board of Curators is seeking a successor to President Elson S. Floyd, who is departing this spring to assume the presidency of Washington State University.
