The University of Missouri Presidential Search Advisory Committee will meet on Monday, November 19, in Kansas City, Mo.

The Presidential Search Advisory Committee was created by the UM Board of Curators to interview candidates for the UM presidency as forwarded by the Curators, and report back its impressions and advice to the Curators, who are serving as a Presidential Search Committee.

The Advisory Committee will convene in open session at noon Monday in The Kansas City Room of Kansas City Southern, 427 W. 12th Street, Fifth Floor, in Kansas City. The committee will meet in an open session to consider approval of a closed session, as authorized by Missouri law. Upon adoption of a closed meeting motion, the closed meeting is also to be held in The Kansas City Room at Kansas City Southern.

The Presidential Search Advisory Committee is composed of 19 members representing a variety of interests across the University's four campuses. The panel is being chaired by Dr. Frank Schmidt of the University of Missouri-Columbia, who chairs the Intercampus Faculty Council.

Dr. Gordon H. Lamb is serving as Interim President until a permanent successor is selected by the Board of Curators.
