During his first official day as president of the University of Missouri System, Tim Wolfe applauds the unique statewide impact of the system’s four universities, health care enterprise and extension programs in fulfilling their core mission of teaching, research, service and economic development.

After visiting all four campuses at least twice since his appointment, he envisions that stronger support for the university can be achieved through greater awareness and understanding of the many unique ways the system is advancing Missouri’s education, health, economy and culture, while also improving the quality of life and standard of living of all Missourians.  As more people are aware of how the system positively affects the state, they will care more and become more engaged and involved with the breadth of university courses, services and events.  This increased involvement will engender greater support of the university, as well as more people’s investment of time and philanthropy.
