MoExcels Program

FY 2026

The University of Missouri System requests MoExcels proposals for the FY 2026 funding cycle. Overseen by the Missouri Department of Higher Education and Workforce Development, “MoExcels funding facilitates development and expansion of employer-driven education and training programs and initiatives to substantially increase educational attainment,” (link).

Key Deadlines:
  • March 29, 2024: Recommended deadline to set up initial meeting with UM Academic Affairs (schaffin@umsystem.edu) to discuss prospective proposal.
  • May 3, 2024: Deadline to submit first full draft of proposal to UM Academic Affairs for review and feedback. 

 

FY 2025

Proposals for the FY 2025 MoExcels funding cycle are currently making their way through the state legislative process. Funding decisions will be finalized upon the Governor’s signing of the state budget, which must occur by the end of FY 2024. The UM System currently has seven proposals under consideration for funding, totaling approximately $18 million in possible funding to UM universities.
