Procurement Services has now made it even easier to order all Dell equipment, including special quotes, server quotes, etc. through Show-Me Shop (SMS). Beginning immediately, utilizing SMS will be only way that Dell will accept all orders. Therefore, no Purchasing Card or non-catalog orders will accepted.
When Dell creates a special quote, and posts this within SMS, you as the end user can attach it as an item to your cart. You will also receive the following information that will be sent along with the Dell Order Management System "DOMS" quote which includes instructions for creating your purchase order.
"In partnering with University of Missouri, we will be adding this quotation to your Show-Me Shop site to allow you to punch-out and create your Order Requisition. The quotation will be added within the next 4 hours and we will send an email notification once complete."
Instructions for creating your purchase order for special Dell DOMS quotes through Show-Me Shop punch-out site:
When Dell creates a special DOMS quote for you, you can now create your purchase order through the Show-Me Shop Dell catalog by following these steps:
- Enter Show-Me Shop and punch out to Dell Catalog
- Once on the Dell site, go to the top right of the screen, mouse over "Quick Links", then click on "Custom Links"
- Then click on "DOMS quotes"
- Locate your quote by referencing the quote # you received from your Dell representative. You can then "Add to Cart" and follow the steps to place order.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Your quote will be for "Quantity 1" of the requested product. You may change to your required quantity after you have added to cart.
