Voluntary Separation Program Resources

ERIP Participants

In most cases, if you are in the ERIP plan, you are an active, benefit-eligible employee first hired on or after 10/1/2012.

Some events on the resources webpage may not be applicable to ERIP participants. Campus Human Resources Generalist will be reaching out to ERIP participants eligible for the VSP via email to discuss resources that will be helpful.

If you're eligible to participate in the Voluntary Separation Program (VSP), there are many resources available to help you understand your options and decide if retirement is right for you.

Self-Service Resources

Before attending a seminar or one-on-one, we recommend you familiarize yourself with what retirement might look like for you by utilizing our self-service resources:

  1. Review information about the benefits that may be available to you in retirement;
  2. A personalized pension benefit estimate calculation has been prepared and is available to eligible faculty members. To request a copy, email umhrVSP@umsystem.edu; and
  3. You may also run additional retirement scenarios in the University of Missouri Pension Benefits Portal.

In-Person Retirement Planning Seminars

In-person retirement planning seminars provide an overview of the UM Retirement, Disability and Death (RDD) Benefit Plan for those that were hired or vested prior to 10/01/2012. We recommend you print out your personalized retirement estimate and bring it to the seminar. To request a copy, email umhrVSP@umsystem.edu.
