April Walking Initiative

As part of the university and UnitedHealthcare’s commitment to health, this spring we are excited to join the April Million Mile Month challenge through HealthCode. This virtual month-long event is an opportunity for you to enjoy the beautiful weather by getting active and help the university and HealthCode get close to a million miles in April.

You get to choose the number of miles you want to set as your goal for the month. Each day you can walk, run, dance, swim, bike or do whatever activity you like to get to your goal. Get started! It only takes 5 minutes:

  1. Register by or before April 15:
    1. Access the HealthCode Dashboard
    2. Choose the bronze registration level*
    3. Fill in your information, selecting "University of Missouri System" as your organization and your campus for your group.
    4. Click "save leaderboard info"
  2. Sync your favorite fitness app, or log your miles manually through the website.
  3. Check the leaderboards regularly to see how we’re doing!

After that, all that is left is to go fall in love with something active! Whether it’s running, dancing, holding walking meetings or anything in between, every active minute counts! Reach out to Secily with any questions. See you on the trails, in the halls, etc.!

Note: HealthCode offers prizes for the challenge but they are not associated with University of Missouri System nor United Healthcare and are managed independently.

*Registration donations are to the nonprofit HealthCode and are tax deductible. Donation is not required to participate.
